⚠️ Fraud Alert: Scam Calls Claiming to Be From Your Bank

We’ve been made aware of a rising scam where fraudsters call individuals pretending to be from their bank. They claim there are “problems with the post” and that you will be issued a new bank card.

The caller then arranges for a fake replacement card to be delivered to your home and asks you to hand over your current bank card, often requesting your PIN or other personal details at the same time.

This is a scam. Banks never collect your card, ask for your PIN, or send couriers to your home.

How to Protect Yourself

Hang up immediately if someone calls claiming to be from your bank and asks for your card or PIN.

Do not give personal or banking details over the phone unless you initiated the call using an official number.

Never hand your bank card to anyone who comes to your door.

Use the number on the back of your bank card or the bank’s official website to verify any concerns.

Report suspicious calls to your bank and to Action Fraud.

If You Think You’ve Been Targeted

Contact your bank straight away using their official number.

Monitor your account for unusual activity.

Report the incident so others can be warned.
